We found that some users are using the initial password they received at the JAIST without changing it.
Continued use of the initial password is a serious security risk.

In particular, if you are using the Mail Direct Access Service ( mail-da.jaist.ac.jp ), which allows you to read e-mail from off-campus, note that the 20-character Password Prefix must be entered as the mailer password, concatenated before the new password.
