Computing Server Workshop on vpcc - Basic skills for "Container" -

We are pleased to announce that we will hold a Beginners Workshop of PC Cluster Server as follows.

PC Cluster supports Python, Java, C++ and other useful languages, libraries and applications.

The workshop provides basic training for beginners of PC Cluster, and rudimentary use of "Container" and job execution.

We encourage you to join our workshop, if you have any plan to use some computational program or need computational resources, for calculating performance.

Please fill out the application form at the below web site in advance.

This workshop will be conducted online, and conducted in Japanese, but the English handout is available.

Preparation : Please set up the "Docker environment" on your pc beforehand.

Note :

* The aim of the workshop is learning the usage of the PC Cluster Server. If you have questions about a specific application or issue, we might not be able to answer at that time.

* This workshop will be held online.

* This workshop will be recorded.

* Please prepare the following requirements for the pc to be used for hands-on.

- Please make sure you have access to the JAIST network before this workshop begins.

- Please use "SSL-VPN Service" when you participate from off-campus.

- Please install the following applications.

If your PC OS is Windows, we recommend "Windows Subsystem for Linux 2", "movaXterm".

- Please prepare to connect to the computing server via ssh with the terminal application.
