Surface OS (windows10 Education) requires license activation via license server installed in JAIST periodically .
When the message, "Please authenticate Windows license" is shown, please connect surface to JAIST Network.
Notice that. the date & time of the surface is wrong, the license authentication might fail. don't forget to confirm the Windows clock is correct.
