Importing client certificates for VPN to Android devices
[advance preparation]
- (Prep. #1)Install the client app.(F5 Access)and configure the SSL-VPN of JAIST.
- (Prep. #2)Attach the client certificate to a draft Webmail message.

Return to the first screen of the F5 Access application ("Connect" screen), tap "Connect" at the bottom of the screen and follow the on-screen instructions to confirm that you can access the SSL-VPN system
- Open Webmail on your smartphone
- Open the draft email with the certificate file attached in advance.
- Tap the client certificate and select "Download"
- When prompted for a password, enter the password for importing the certificate.
Client certificate downloaded from the NII website:Access PIN (Initial password for import)
Client certificate exported from the your web browser:Password set when you export it - Under "Select Certificate Type," select "VPN and App User Certificate" and press "OK".
- Modify the certificate name to an easy-to-understand name (e.g. JAISTcertforVPN-s0000000) and press "OK".
- Launch the F5 Access application and open the Edit Settings screen.
- Click on "Client Certificates" and select "Import"
- Select "Select from device credential information storage" and select the client certificate you just imported
- Confirm that the selected certificate is selected in the "Client Certificate" field and press the "Save" or check button in the upper right corner.
